Valheim in early access on Steam sold almost 2.5 million copies within a month of release

Valheim was released on February 2, 2021, on Steam in early access, and according to GameSensor's estimation, its sales on the platform for the first month of release amounted to about $40 million. During the same period, almost 2.5 million copies of the game were sold on Steam.
Since Valheim was released in early access, there is currently no rating on Metacritic. However, Steam users were able to evaluate the novelty and gave it almost 5 stars out of 5.
The game is developed by Iron Gate AB studio, for which Valheim is the first project on Steam. Coffee Stain Publishing took over the publishing duties. If you look at the general statistics of GameSensor, Valheim's sales in early access make up almost half of the total sales of all the publisher's games for all time.
The overwhelming majority of players who purchased Valheim on Steam Early Access are English-speaking, accounting for over 70% of the total audience. German and Spanish are spoken by about 5% of players each, while Chinese, Russian and French account for 3% of users each.
At this stage, Valheim is available only on PC.
