Dyson Sphere Program sold about 500 thousand copies in early access on Steam in the first month of release
Dyson Sphere Program was released on Steam at the early access stage on January 20, 2021, and during the first month of release, according to GameSensor’s estimation, its sales amounted to almost $6 million. During the same period of time, about 500 thousand copies of the game were sold on the platform.
Players positively evaluated the novelty: its rating on the Steam platform is almost 5 stars out of 5.
The developer of Dyson Sphere Program is Youthcat Studio, for which this is the second project on Steam. The studio released its first game Bouncy Butter Ball on the platform back in May 2018, but it did not gain such popularity as a novelty, and its sales amount for 4 years is less than 5 thousand $. Therefore, the revenue of Dyson Sphere Program is almost 100% of the total sales of the developer's games on the platform.
It is worth noting that half of the players who purchased Dyson Sphere Program on Steam speak Chinese. Usually, the English-speaking audience outnumbers the others, but in this case, it is a slightly smaller share, namely almost 40%. The game supports only these two languages, but among the users there are those who speak German, Spanish, French and Russian.
Dyson Sphere Program is currently only available on PC.
