Chivalry 2 showed a launch with nearly $6 million in sales on Steam in its first month of release
According to GameSensor’s forecast, sales of Chivalry 2 - the following part after Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - totaled nearly $6 million on Steam in the first month of release. During the same time, about 400,000 copies of the game were sold on the platform.
Chivalry 2 has received positive feedback from Steam users: the game's rating on the platform is just over 4 stars out of 5. On the aggregator website Metacritic, critics gave the novelty 82 points from a possible 100, but the players rated the game at 5 points from 10, explaining this with the uncomfortable interface and the presence of a large number of technical errors and bugs.
The developer of both parts of the game is Torn Banner Studios. The publisher of the sequel game is Tripwire Presents.
Comparing the two parts of Chivalry on Steam to each other, we can say that the amount of sales Chivalry 2 collected in the month since its release is almost 8 times greater than that of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare over the same period.
Nearly 70% of players who bought Chivalry 2 on Steam speak English. Chinese accounts for 11% of the audience. The rest of the players communicate in Spanish, Korean, French, and other languages.
Chivalry 2 was released on June 12, 2022, and is available on PC and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles.
