On the aggregator website Metacritic, the PC version of The Quarry received mixed reviews from players and 5.6 points out of 10. Some of them, despite the good graphics, did not like the pace of the game and its plot, saying it could have been more exciting and interesting. Critics on the same site gave the game 79 points out of 100 possible.
For the publisher 2K Games, the novelty is the first project on Steam, but for the developer Supermassive Games, this is the 4th game. It is worth noting that The Quarry sales numbers are almost half of the total sales of all games from Supermassive Games on Steam.
