About 700 thousand copies sold and $34 million in sales - the financial result of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on Steam in the first week of release
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered's success in sales, as GameSensor estimates, was nearly $34 million on Steam in just its first week of release.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered quickly gained a lot of popularity and received a lot of positive feedback from players and critics alike. For example, it's rating on Steam is almost 5 out of 5 stars. On Metacritic, the players gave the PC-version a score of 8.4 out of 10, and the critics gave it 87 points out of a possible 100.
A month before the game's release, almost 250 thousand Steam users added the ported version of the superhero video game for PC to their WishList, and since its release, the number of players who wanted to try the novelty has grown to 700 thousand. That is the number of copies sold on the platform during the first seven days of release.
For both the development studios, Insomniac Games and Nixxes software, the novelty has become the most successful project in terms of both sales and the number of installations on Steam. In fact, among Insomniac Games' other three games on the platform, none has ever achieved such a number of sales as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in its first week of release. And for Nixxes software, the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man is its first project.
But for the PlayStation PC LLC publisher, the game ranks fourth among the most financially successful projects, behind Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition, God of War, and Days Gone.
However, this is just the beginning: the game's financial numbers and the number of copies sold are expected to grow over the next few months.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered was released on August 12, 2022, on PC. The game was released for PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018. The game is now available on the latest generation of Sony PlayStation consoles as well.
